Trust is not a feature we added to Pair. It is the reason Pair exists. Most platforms connect people quickly and deal with problems afterwards. Pair is designed to reduce risk before people are ever in direct contact.
Matching happens before full identities are shared.
The aim is to create the conditions for good introductions, not to police people.
Pair doesn't show people to each other. It decides when it's safe to introduce them.
This is not surveillance. It is careful stewardship of a system designed to bring strangers together responsibly.
No system can guarantee that every user is truthful, safe, or suitable. Pair is designed to improve the odds: to slow down what should be slowed down, to surface what deserves attention, and to give people better information before they commit. We take this seriously. We do not claim perfection.
In some situations, Pair may ask for additional information before an introduction can progress. This could include age confirmation, identity verification, or contextual checks. Verification is always proportionate. We ask for what the situation requires, nothing more.
Pair is not a payment platform. If an interaction appears financially risky, manipulative, or difficult to verify safely, Pair may slow the process, request more information, or decline to support the next step.
Pair is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. Where age is relevant to safety or legality, additional confirmation may be required.
